Being mindful means paying attention to what’s happening right now, without getting carried away by thoughts or worries. It’s like being a super detective for your own amazing life! Here are three super simple ways to practice mindfulness today:

1️⃣ Belly Breath Buddies: Put your favorite toy on your tummy. As you breathe in, make your belly rise like a gentle balloon. As you breathe out, watch it go down. Do this five times and notice how calm you feel! 🎈

2️⃣ Sensory Superpowers: Take a moment to notice five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste. What amazing things are around you right now? 👀👂👃🖐️👅   

3️⃣ Walking Wonders: When you’re walking, feel your feet touching the ground. Notice how your body moves. Are your steps fast or slow? What sounds do you hear with each step? Enjoy the journey! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Try these little mindful moments throughout your day and see how they help you feel calm, focused, and happy! 😊💖

Imagine you’re a colorful hot air balloon. Put your hands on your tummy.

🌬️ Breathe in deeply through your nose, filling your balloon up with air! Feel your tummy get big!

💨 Now, breathe out slowly, like the air gently escaping and your balloon floating higher and higher!

Repeat 3 times! It’s a super fun way to feel calm and strong! 💪

This pose makes you feel strong like a superhero! 💪

Three Awesome Benefits for Kids:

Builds Mighty Muscles: Plank helps make your tummy, arms, and legs super strong for running, jumping, and playing!

Boosts Focus Power: Holding still in Plank helps you concentrate and pay attention, like when you’re learning something new!

How to Practice (Pretend to be a strong board!):

Start on your hands and knees.  Hands are under your shoulders.

Step your feet back one at a time so you’re balancing on your hands and toes.

Keep your body in a straight line from your head to your heels

Breathe in and out with a strong tummy!

Try to hold for a few breaths, then gently lower your knees to the floor to rest.

Practice on your own or add a friend for more fun.

How to do it (super simple version):

Stand with your feet wide apart.
Turn one foot all the way to the side, and the other foot just a little bit.
Reach your arms out wide like airplane wings.
Bend your front knee gently, looking over your front hand.

Belly breathing is a simple yet powerful yoga tech Belly breathing is a simple yet powerful yoga technique that can help kids feel calm and relaxed. It’s a great way to start or end your day, or to take a break.

Here’s how to do it:

Sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes if you feel comfortable and take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your belly with air.
Hold the breath for a few seconds, then slowly exhale .   
Repeat several times.

You can also try visualizing your breath as it flows in and out of your body. Imagine a peaceful moment in nature like the image above.

Belly breathing is a great way to teach kids about mindfulness and self-regulation. It can help them to feel more in present with their emotions.

Tips for teaching kids belly breathing:

Make it fun! Use props like stuffed animals or bubbles to help kids visualize their breath.
Be patient. It may take some time for kids to get the hang of it.
Practice regularly. The more you do it, the easier it will become.

Time for a little dandelion breath today! 🌼 If Time for a little dandelion breath today! 🌼

If you’re on a mindful walk, see if you can find a dandelion to pick. If not, no worries – your imagination works perfectly too! ✨

Take a moment to sit or stand still and really look at the tiny pieces of the dandelion. Notice their delicate details. Close your eyes for a moment and try to picture those details in your mind. Take a deep breath in... and a long, slow breath out.

Gently open your eyes. When you feel ready, take the dandelion in your hand, take another deep breath, and blow those little seeds into the wind with a big exhale. As you do, make a wish, send out some love, or hope for peace in the world. 🌬️

Taking this moment to time in to peace, kindness, compassion, and most importantly, YOU! ❤️
